Mek or aka De Mello D was born in Thailand but grew up in the rough parts of West London in Ladbroke Grove from a very young age. His Love and interest in the Underground Dance Music started from the early days of Acid House in 1989 when he first started listening to the music through the Illegal Pirate Radio stations broadcasting in and around the London area... and in 1992 he caught that Raving Bug!! when he went to his first Rave at Busbys in Charing Cross Road, London after that experience he was instantly hooked to the scene and there was no way out!!. Soon after as the Jungle scene started to evolve he met up with his old school friend MC SAS.1 who introduced him to the Illegal Pirate Radio station called Transmission1, 97.3FM where the likes of DJS' Ed case and Mr Reds both started off there music careers. more
